The Home Care industry is struggling to meet staffing demands. Population demographics, retirements, COVID-19, an increased desire to live and stay in the home, have all led to a massive shortage of qualified staff and available workers. Competition between home care agencies for workers is driving up costs and isn’t a viable answer. IBT College in cooperation with Caregiver Omnimedia and Caring Support are bringing together the Home Care industry for the first-ever Staffing Forum.
On July 21st, participants from across the province will be meeting to discuss the following key issues facing the industry:
- International & Domestic Recruitment
- How to Retain Your Employees
- Funding Opportunities
- Understanding Microcredentials for Upskilling
- Using AR & VR Training Tools
Speakers and Panelists from across the Home Care spectrum will be available to discuss the issues and present solutions for the industry. IBT College’s Vice-President James Rice will be speaking at the event and our innovative Virtual Healthcare Micro-credentials will be available for demonstrations.
