86% of Attendees Will Use Ideas and Solutions Presented at the Forum.
IBT College held the inaugural Home Care Staffing Forum last Thursday with representatives from over 30 home care companies in attendance. Industry representatives from throughout the province joined together to discuss recruitment issues and new, innovative solutions to home care staffing.
86% of participants indicated that they would be using the information provided to help improve their recruitment and retention efforts.
IBT College was pleased to welcome Ms. Kelly Shields, Assistant Deputy Minister from the Ministry of Colleges and Universities to speak about Micro-credentials and the importance of up-skilling.
Participants heard from IBT College’s partners in Jamaica, Nigeria and Vietnam who discussed the tremendous international recruitment opportunities.
Mr. James Rice, the Vice-President of IBT College, spoke about funding availability to help with the staffing shortage and the college’s strong background in designing training programs for our corporate clients.
Our innovative Virtual Healthcare Micro-credentials were available for demonstrations as participants experienced Virtual Reality simulations such as feeding a patient or experiencing dementia as well as live, real-time virtual simulation with soft-skills training.
